Petadoodle makes picture books that come in two halves.

The first half is a finished story, to read together. The second half is the same story in black and white, waiting for your child.

Anyone who has read the same picture book forty nights in a row knows that small children don't just listen to stories. They want to step inside. They want to give the bee back its yellow, and to decide what colour the sky is today.

So we make the story, and we leave the last part to them. Your child finishes the book.

What we care about

• Stories worth reading twice, or twenty times. Short lines, big pictures.
• Pages made for small hands: bold lines, big shapes, nothing fiddly.
• Files you can print again whenever a page is finished.
• No ads, anywhere.

Blue is Petadoodle’s first character: a curious little flower bud who hasn't found a colour yet. This is the beginning of a growing world of characters and adventures. In every one, the last colours belong to your child.
